About Ruth
Aviator, Balloonist & Entrepreneur

In 1989 she was on a marlin fishing boat, wrecked crossing the Ballina Bar.

Struggling to survive drowning, she surfaced eventually with head and back injuries and was caught in a rip which
dragged her 5 km out
to sea.

For over an hour she fought
to stay calm with blood falling from her head injury and afraid of sharks.
Then she saw the fins.
A pod of dolphins surrounded her till the rescue boat found her.
