Post details: WHAT NOW?
WHAT NOW?
In the aftermath of this experience, I am recalling the words my younger son Grant said to me before I launched - "It's good to have an end to journey towards Ma, but it's the journey that's important in the end".
I am going to retreat, rest and restore my energy over the coming week.
Thank you again to the many, many lovely people who have sent emails and left phone messages. It's all just overwhelming for me at the moment.
xRuth

G'Day Ruth,
Just jumped on the net in townsville to see if you got away. You did, but not for long enough it seems. We'll be home on September 2 and I'll try ringing you then (didn't occur to me to bring your number with me). Trying to think of something profound to make you feel better. Not possible I'm afraid. Rest assured our thoughts are with you. You know this could be Vamp's revenge for not being considered for the attempt!!

Dear Ruth
What an incredible experience, don't look at it as an unfortunate happening, look at it that you handled it well and lived to tell the tale - thank God. Get up there and do it again, as I am sure you will and I know that you will succeed. What happened will only make the next flight more exciting and challenging. You can do it.
Our thoughts are with you. All the very best,
Love

Hi Ruth
Glad to hear that you are OK and that you have been enjoying a bit of rest after the attempt.
Don't consider giving it all away, its called an adventure sport for a reason! Sounds like you sure had an adventure.
Well done for all the work to get yourself to the point to be able to make the attempt.
All the best
Adam
